Parisians are quite protective over this brunch spot, as they don’t want to battle a long line to get in. Every Sunday, though, the crowds come – and that’s because the food is great and the prices are moderate. Le cafe qui parle is located in the Montmartre district:

Here is where you want to go for a friendly dinner. Hidden in a courtyard between avenue Marceau and the Champs Elysees, this secret address is only open during the week! The Menu changes every day so you can come 5 days in a row and never enjoy the same dish. The real treasure is the wine list. Jacques Bourdin, the owner, is a wine expert (Maitre Sommelier)! For those of you who like to share nice addresses with friends … the entire restaurant can be privatized for dinner parties!

I love the Parisian name Lily, so the 7th district restaurant Lily Wang instantly intrigued me. Although I haven’t sampled the Asian food yet, word on the street is it’s amazing. That’s probably because Lily Wang is owned by the Costes family, restaurant veterans. Besides the menu, make sure to check out the Chateau Reignac wine as well as Jacques Garcia’s impressive interior design and the restaurant’s colorful fauna. Unfortunately, however, there isn’t anyone named Lily there. I’ll still have to check it out. In the meantime, let me know what you think!

Sous les cerisiers
Friday, April 29th, 2011A new find in my beloved Parisian neighborhood of Montparnasse… If you have a delicate and curious palate and enjoy fine Asian cuisine, run to “Sous les cerisiers” (Under the Cherry Tree)! Chef Sakura Franck’s restaurant is a tiny isle of jade in Paris: the tofu mousse with wasabi sauce or foie gras sushi with Miso crème are out of this world! The restaurant is also a culinary workshop so you can try your hand at French-Japanese fusion cuisine with the charming Chef Sakura…
